Going to camp is a great experience for a kid during the summer, but sometimes it can make kids quite nervous that they're going to a place without their parents and may have to make new friends at a sleep away camp all summer. This is why it's a good idea to always explain everything about the camp to a child so that they know exactly what to expect when they get there. It can even be helpful to find a way to teach kids some of the games they might play, such as the rules of softball or baseball, before they leave for camp.
